Separated by Windows
A homeless man peers in the window of society
deaf and dumb to what the old house offers him.
The wealthy parishioner stares out the window of society
blind to what the homeless man offers to the old house.
A psychically scarred veteran stares in the window of society
no longer able to feel what the old house might offer him.
The ambitious politician stares out the window of society
blinded to what the veteran has left to offer the old house.
A frail mentally ill man peers in the window of society
numbed to what the old house might still offer him.
The pompous psychiatrist looks out the window of society
unable to analyze the mentally ill man’s import to the old house.
A hopeless convict peers in the window of society
but fails to steal a hint of how the old house might need him.
The pretentious judge stares out the window of society
but fails to judge where the convict might still fit within the old house.
Each blind to the stone which sits at their feet!
